Bethesda, MD - The U.S. News and World Report’s Best Colleges 2010 hit newsstands on August 20th and PrepMatters’ Ned Johnson has once again prepared the SAT and ACT test calendar for the upcoming school year. PrepMatters' expertise on “Taking Charge of Your Test Scores” was also featured in the issue.
Helping Parents Understand the Rankings
Millions of Americans - from proud alumni to current university students to collegiate sports fans - eagerly check this most famous of college lists to see how "their" schools fared this year. High school students and their families, however, have the most to gain from a close reading of the rankings. The editors of the magazine do an enormous amount of work creating a valuable repository of information on all of the colleges and universities you care about most.
Ned will lead a discussion with parents on demystifying the methodology behind and describing the factors used to construct the rankings. More importantly, he will go beyond the numbers to find out the implications they have as you make your decisions about where to apply.
