JASON KRESGE JOINS PREPMATTERS AS DIRECTOR OF INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN
Company Also Welcomes Two Tutors to Bethesda and McLean Locations
McLean, VA. February 4, 2008 - PrepMatters, a leader in standardized test preparation, academic tutoring and educational counseling in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area, announced today that Jason Kresge has joined the company as director of instructional design. Melodi Javid and Joel Karpiak have also become members of tutoring team.
As director of instructional design, Kresge is responsible for constant innovation of materials and methods. Staying ahead of the changing nature of standardized testing is a core strength of PrepMatters. Jason will develop new practice test material and online content to continually improve PrepMatters' website as a user-friendly and valuable resource for clients.
A certified web developer, Kresge brings 10 years of industry experience to PrepMatters. He began his career with the Princeton Review, where he primarily tutored, trained instructors, and gave public lectures on test-prep. Prior to joining PrepMatters, Kresge held a content development and business analyst position with Petersons, a comprehensive and heavily traveled education resource on the Internet.

A Montgomery County local, Javid attended the magnet program at Montgomery Blair High School. She began her tutoring career while attending the University of Maryland, where she graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature. Prior to joining PrepMatters, Javid taught MCAT for Kaplan, Inc. Her expertise includes biology, physics, chemistry, and Spanish, and the SAT and MCAT tests. Currently, she is preparing to apply to medical school while doing virology research at the National Institutes of Health.
Karpiak began his career teaching chemistry lab at Rutgers University. The Yale University graduate earned a B.S. in Chemistry and is doing research as a Post-Baccalaureate Fellow at the National Institutes of Health with plans to pursue a PhD in computational chemistry. His expertise lies in math, chemistry, physics, and biology.
