Tests:
MCAT Subjects: Biology,
Chemistry, Math, Spanish, Study Skills &
Physics
Philosophy:
Preparing for a standardized exam
is like training for an athletic event. This is
not surprising, as the final test, in both
cases, is under timed conditions and involves
high levels of apparent competition with peers.
Consequently, training for this "mind marathon"
requires much of the same discipline that is
displayed by athletes. Everyone starts at
different levels, but if one takes small steps
everyday and pushes a little harder each time,
everyone can set personal records. As a tutor,
I strive to design the right "mind workout" to
fit each student's strengths and weaknesses and
instill the confidence needed to cross the
finish line successfully.
