Philosophy:
Students approach standardized tests from all directions. The great benefit of individualized tutoring is working with a student to crack his or her "code" for success with a given standardized test. The key to effective preparation for a standardized test is to help a student not only familiarize, use test-taking techniques, and gain accuracy with a given test, but to also allay the anxieties he or she often has with test- taking. I try to convey to students that all standardized tests can be ultimately conquered and that studying for them does not have to be drudgery. I aim for my sessions with students to be energetic and as close to "fun" as possible while still accomplishing a tremendous amount of work.
