Jobs & Internships at PrepMatters
Come work with
us!
Part-time tutors start at $30-$50 an hour depending on experience and are expected to work a minimum of 10 hours per week during busy seasons (yes, we take this stuff seriously). Tutors can schedule meetings on weekdays or weekends (or mornings if you're so constituted). The office is open 24-7. (Did we mention we take this stuff seriously?) Paid training is provided and all tutoring takes place in our Bethesda location or area high schools.
Ideal candidates will be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with a friendly, vibrant staff and specialized clientele. Additionally, candidates must have a bachelor's degree and must be able to teach the math, verbal and writing (essay & grammar) portions of the test. Candidates who do not wish to teach all three sections of the SAT will not be considered. A qualifying test in these areas is administered to all applicants. We ask that tutors have an honest expectation that they will be able to work for at least two years with PrepMatters. There is a fairly steep learning curve for new tutors and given the time and energy both trainers and employees are expected to devote to training, at least a two-year period of employment is really necessary for the employment to be beneficial to both the tutor and and to PrepMatters.
If you are looking for a fun and rewarding work environment, please send cover letter and resume to jobs@prepmatters.com. No phone calls, please. Email inquiries will not be addressed until a resume and cover letter have been submitted.
