Philosophy:
Every student has his or her own
way of learning. Often, in a
large classroom setting, a student has no
other option but to attempt to learn the
material in the way the instructor presents it
to a group of very different learners.
The personal attention of one-on-one tutoring
allows students to be taught in a
way that makes sense to them. I enjoy working
individually with students so that
I can help figure out how to make the material
“click” for their own learning style.
I also believe that standardized tests are not
a measure of intelligence but a
measure of a student’s ability to take a
standardized test. I like to help students
demystify the test and uncover what strategies
work for them so that they can be
as successful as possible. And I believe that
learning can be fun. Really. I’ll do
my best to show you.
