  We all wish to motivate children and students, but how can we help them learn to motivate themselves? What leads to ”self-propelled” motivation? What are the right — and wrong — ways to praise children? And what five success myths may be holding us back as parents, educators and students?
Students may fall short on the SAT® test for a variety of reasons–from lack of knowledge, skills, or motivation to mismanagement of time, emotion, or stress. The College Board's current policy is that if you send one score to a school, that college can also see the scores from every time you've taken the test. But starting in March 2009, students will be able to hide SAT-taking blemishes like a low score or maybe the fact that they took the test half a dozen times...
